Former U-S Rep. Inglis to discuss climate change

Former U.S. Congressman Bob Inglis (R- SC), who was featured in Robert Kenner’s documentary, “Merchants of Doubt,” will speak to Tri-County Technical College students Monday, October 24, from 1:20 – 2:20 p.m. in Marshall J. Parker Auditorium, Pendleton Campus.  The public is invited to attend.  Merchants of Doubt, released in 2014, examines the work of climate change skeptics and their campaign to sway public opinion. To get a better understanding of the controversy surrounding global warming, Tri-County’s Science Department is presenting a three-session series on science denialism and climate change skepticism, using the book and documentary “Merchants of Doubt” on which to to center the discussions.  Part 2 of “Merchants of Doubt” and a panel discussion will be held Wedneasday, October 26, 1:20 – 2:20 p.m. in  Parker Auditorium..
