Foundation grants to three OC schools

The Education Foundation of Oconee has awarded $5 thousand grants to three schools. And the money is to go to buying items that will raise student achievement in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The grants go to Orchard Park Elementary, James Brown Elementary, and Keowee Elementary. Orchard Park is to use its $5 thousand for a program that integrates reading, science and inquiry into one package. James Brown Elementary intends to buy seven document cameras to enhance science instruction. And Keowee will acquire 18 Chromebooks for a mobile lab to implement a computer programming curriculum.
