Four arrested in Tokeena-Crossroads traffic stop
An early morning traffic stop in the rural southern Oconee area of Tokeena-Crossroads sent four people to jail on charges that included drug offenses, possession of a stolen vehicle, and providing false information to a law enforcement officer. The four displayed addresses in Seneca, Pendleton, La France, and Milledgeville, Georgia. They were booked into the county detention center between 2:15 and 3:30 in the morning Wednesday. A deputy ran the tag on a vehicle that made a turn onto South Carolina 24 and learned that the vehicle was stolen. Four people were in the vehicle and a traffic stop took place at 24 in the Timberlake area. Deputies say they found a rifle and a handgun and determined the handgun had been stolen in Anderson County.
