Georgia police chase ends with arrest in Oconee

A police pursuit in Rabun County, Georgia ended in Oconee County early last night with the arrest of a van driver. According to the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, the chase ended with the stop of the van in Mountain Rest, at the Whetstone and Chattooga Ridge roads and the arrest of Sally Louise English on charges of failure to stop for a blue light and trafficking in methamphetamine. At mid day today, the Franklin, North Carolina woman remained jailed in Oconee under a combined $45 thousand surety bond.
