Good Samaritans take quick action

Until emergency responders arrived, the action of bystanders is said to have helped save two people from a burning car in the Oakway-South Union area of Oconee County.  Yesterday afternoon’s fire burned a Kia automobile that hit a tree on the Blackjack Road near Choestoea Road.  The car flipped, but those who stopped to help were able to right the car to allow the husband and wife inside get out.  The injured were taken by EMS to the Oconee Memorial Hospital.
