Here it comes: rate increase from the USPS

If you are a patron of the U-S Postal Service, you have until Sunday to get ready for postage rate increases. Chief among them is the cost of a first class letter moving from 46-cents to 49-cents. The Postal Service’s Harry Spratlin in Columbia says many people have offset the effects of that increase by stocking up on “forever stamps.” Others rates to be raised Sunday include the price of a postcard—a one penny increase, from 33 to 34 cents.
