High School Notes: Seneca softball one step closer to District 1 title

In high school sports on Monday, Seneca’s softball team earned a playoff win over Blue Ridge by a 7-6 score, thanks to a walk off RBI single in the 8th inning from Britton Young. The win puts Seneca in good shape as they need only one win now to capture the District I championship. The Cats will play on Friday, against a yet to be determined opponent.

Seneca’s boys soccer team defeated Belton-Honea Path 5-0 on Monday. The regular season will wrap on Wednesday at Walhalla. The Razorbacks were 5-2 winners over Easley on Monday. Playoffs get underway next week.
