High School Playoffs

In high school sports, Seneca’s girls’ soccer team defeated Richland Northeast Monday night, 6-1, as the playoffs got underway. The Bobcats will host Blue Ridge in Round Two play on Wednesday. Elsewhere Monday, Walhalla’s season ends with a 6-0 loss at Chapin.

In baseball, Walhalla gets the 4-2 win over Blue Ridge in the Class 3A Playoffs. Seth Holcombe was the winning pitcher. The Razors take on Chester Wednesday.

Seneca’s softball team fell to Blue Ridge, 7-5. Seneca will host South Pointe in an elimination game Wednesday. That winner will need two wins over Blue Ridge. Elsewhwere, Whitmire downed Tamassee-Salem, 8-3, to end the season for the Eagle softball team.
