Hit-run accident remains unsolved

Crime Stoppers of Oconee seeks the public’s help to solve a hit and run accident in March  2015 in Oconee County.  It’s a case under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.    The collision occurred on March 8th around 8:50pm on Highway 183 near the intersection of S. Flagship Drive.  Th location places the accident near Keowee Key and the Oconee Nuclear Station. According to information provided by the Highway Patrol, the vehicle at fault was traveling east on S. Flagship Drive and failed to yield the right of way to a second vehicle traveling south on Highway 183 and struck that vehicle in the left side. The suspect vehicle a 4 door Toyota with possible damage to the left side molding.  If you have information, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or 864-638-STOP.  You don’t have to give your name when you contact Crime Stoppers and all information given is confidential.  If your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
