Home burglary near Seneca leads to arrest

harold-arnold-thurston-iiiA 20-year old man has been charged by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office with a four-month old home burglary near Seneca.  The man arrested, Harold Arnold Thurston III (right), was located in jail in Stephens County, Georgia.  Two addresses are given for Thurston, in Belton, South Carolina and Lavonia, Georgia.  On May 30 an Oconee deputy investigated a Snow Creek Road burglary in which guns, electronic items, jewelry, ammunition and outdoor sporting items were taken. Deputies believe Thurston entered the home between May 27 and May 30.  He was charged with first degree burglary and grand larceny.
