Hope campaign–same mission, new name

The HOPE campaign, formerly “Operation Hope”—supports the education and care of people with intellectual disabilities in local schools and organizations.  And twice each year, the Knights of Columbus collects donations to improve the lives of about one thousand students and clients in the local communities.  A large portion of the donations come from distributing Tootsie Rolls and collecting donations in front of Wal-Mart, Bountyland Exxon, and BiLo stores.  During the past 20 years HOPE—Helping Other People Every Day—has distributed more than $500 thousand in Oconee, Pickens, and the northern part of Anderson County.  This year checks were distributed to 22 schools and the Tribble Center near Seneca.
