Human remains may be missing hiker

Human remains found Saturday morning in Rabun County, Georgia, in the vicinity of the Bartram Trail may be those of a missing hiker. Sky 104 Radio in Clayton quotes the Rabun Sheriff, Frank Andrews, as saying investigators found clues that lead them to think that the remains are those of a hiker who has not been heard from since mid-July. Though the remains have not been positively identified, the family of Richard Arnold Masters has been notified of the possibility. Masters was last heard from July 19 when his brother received a letter postmarked Clayton. His vehicle was found a week later at the end of a mountain road in Sky Valley.
