Incumbent Thrift faces two challengers

For District Four Oconee County Council voters, there’s a three-man field in next month’s primary.  And the incumbent is asking the voters to remember his experience.  John Dalen, a Westminster businessman, vows he will vote against any tax increase.  Dalen claims those in government now adhere to a tax and spend philosophy.  Oakway resident and Seneca insurance agent Julian Davis asked the audience last night to keep in mind that the future of the counties lies with young people.  Incumbent Joel Thrift wants voters to consider his experience and he stressed that the role of the council is to set the policy that the county administrator and staff to carry out.
