Incumbents attract no challengers

The clock struck noon today without any changes to the field of candidates for the 2016 Seneca Municipal Election.  Mayor Dan Alexander and Councilmen Gaines, Smith, Moore, and O’Kelley are unopposed as ballot candidates.  State law provides that if no declares as a write-in during the next two weeks, the incumbents automatically start their new terms and no election is needed.
