Indecent Exposure Charges Against Seneca Man

A Seneca man is facing indecent exposure charges.  Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, says 45 year old Shawn Christopher Wilmarth of Yellow Jasmine Drive, Seneca, was arrested and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center this past Saturday. Watt says a deputy with the Uniform Patrol Division responded to a retail business on Wells Highway near Seneca Late Saturday afternoon, after authorities received reports of indecent exposure. Watt says as the investigation continued, it was determined that Wilmarth exposed his private parts to an adult female and a 12 year old minor female, who is the adult female’s daughter, in a section of the business.  The adult victim contacted law enforcement once the incident had occurred.  Wilmarth is still being held on a $30,000 surety bond at the Detention Center. The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone else who might have been in the business at that time and witnessed the incident to call 864-638-4111 as the investigation continues
