It’s almost like clockwork

Westminster’s electric power supplier is uping the ante. PMPA has approved a 7.3% increase in the charge it makes to member city Westminster. What Westminster elected leaders decide to pass onto their retail customers could be decided during tomorrow night’s city council meeting. According to the city administrator, the city council has a number of options. It could decide to absorb the increase, pass it on in full, pass it on at a percentage below 7.3%. Smith says this is the time of year that the wholesale supplier enacts increases, to help pay its share of a portion of one of Duke Energy’s nuclear reactors at Catawba.
