“I’ve been looking forward to this day”

Dr. Mike Lucas is back on the job today as Oconee County Superintendent of Education. Lucas underwent a heart valve procedure and has adopted a regimen to stay fit and keep healthy. He has been walking a little more than five miles a day and climbing a minimum of ten floors of stairs. Lucas says he is grateful to everyone at work and in the community for their help and good wishes. He says, “After eight weeks, it’s so good to be back at work this morning. I’ve been looking forward to this day.”
