J-Peter’s run ends in Seneca

The closing this week of a restaurant in the heart of Seneca’s Ramcat Alley ended a five-year relationship between the business, the building owner, and the dining public. Building owner Jack Shadwick, after a meeting yesterday with J-Peter’s representatives, spoke wistfully of what happened. Shadwick quoted J-Peter’s chief financial officer as saying that, considering the cost of food these days, the profit margin for his business was not there. In its heyday, J-Peter’s offered valet parking, a service unprecedented for Seneca and the area. Shadwick says he has not yet had time to formulate a plan to find a new tenant, other than to say that the building is set up to handle another restaurant.
