Jail and bail event for the American Cancer Society

101.7/WGOG’s Kris Butts and the Oconee School District’s Michael Thorsland are among the community leaders and personalities who have allowed themselves to be symbolically arrested today as part of a fund-raising event for the American Cancer Society.  They and others face having to raise bail money, all of which goes to the fight against cancer.  Two sheriff’s officers showed up at 101.7/WGOG, but were kind of enough to place Kris on a work-release program while he tries to raise his bail money.  All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.
