Job Hope for those with Criminal Records

With the job market very tight and competitive, Upstate residents with criminal records may have difficulty finding work.  Individuals with criminal records are urged to attend  a workshop Monday October 29 to learn about expungements and pardons.  The workshop will be held Oct 29 at 10 am at Tri-County Technical College.  The workshop is open to residents of Oconee, Pickens and Anderson counties.  Representative from the SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon services will be there with details.  Residents will learn what offenses can be pardoned, and officials will explain the difference between a pardon and an expungement.  The workshop will be held in the Industrial and Business Development Center at Tri-County Technical college, room 127.  For more information, in Oconee call 638-4255, in Pickens, 868-2375, or Anderson, 260-2230.
