Jordan Street altercation leads to arrests

A quarrel inside Our Daily Bread in Seneca spread to the outside, and the police wound up making two arrests. Law enforcement reports show 51-year old Monique Hebert Quarles and 17-year old Robert Wesley Quarles II, of West North Third Street, were arrested and charged with assault and battery second degree. The police say they acted after taking statements from a witness and from a 24-year old man, described as the victim. The victim claimed that, as he was leaving the soup kitchen yesterday, he was nearly struck by a vehicle and then approached by two people—one with an open knife and the other with a jack handle.
