Judge rules in property dispute involving Friendship Fire

In a case brought to court by Oconee’s Friendship Volunteer Fire Department, a judge has issued an order. The 10th circuit’s master-in-equity, Steven Kirven, ruled this month in a dispute over the rightful owner of 1.73 acres across from the fire station.  Kirven ruled invalid a purported contract between defendants Chris Christian and R&M Investments of Oconee.  Kirven directed Christian to pay R&M $4 thousand dollars, money that it previously paid to Christian.  He further required R&M to remove mobile homes and all other personal property from the 1.73 acres within 30 days.
