Judicial candidate Sprpuse “complaint-free”

According to the South Carolina Judicial Merit Selection Commission, the period in which to file a complaint against Seneca attorney Scott Sprouse passed Monday—without any complaints filed. As the only candidate for Circuit Court, Tenth Circuit, Seat Two, Sprouse is on the road toward confirmation. He and the other hopefuls for judgeships across the state undergo public hearings Monday, April 28 in Columbia. The Judicial Merit Selection Commission will consider Sprouse’s qualifications during a 20-minute hearing to begin at 11:10 a-m in room 110, Columbia’s Blatt Building. If confirmed by a vote of the legislature, Sprouse will succeed Alex Macaulay whose retirement takes effect December 31.
