Jury to decide work quality at Lake Keowee development

A jury is in place in an Oconee civil courtroom and ready to spend as much as two weeks to decide liability for what went wrong in the building of a town home project on Lake Keowee. The dispute has thrown together home owners, lawyers, and builders for what’s likely to be complex, detailed testimony about the decks, the roofs, the windows, the framing, and the grading at a project that started about ten years ago. The project is called Stoneledge at Lake Keowee. Among the multiple defendants is Marick Builders, the company that once sought to build a high-rise condo project elsewhere on Lake Keowee, as well as Joe and Jeff Bostic, former Clemson and pro football players. The Bostics were partners in a construction company that originated the idea for the project, only to sell their interests before the town homes were completed.
