Keowee Elementary to turn 100!

Keowee Elementary School celebrates its 100th year during an assembly at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning, January 30. At that time, an old time capsule will be emptied and a new one filled. Former teachers, students and staff are invited. At 10 o’clock, all students gather on the athletic field to form the shape of the number 100. Pilot Steve Haslup, a volunteer and friend of the school, will make a flyover and snap an aerial photo of the students and the school. The celebration ends with a birthday cake. Libby Imbody is serving as committee chairman for the Keowee School Centennial.
