A Keowee Key man is all on-board with the Third District congressman’s plans for legislation to open energy development under less environmental regulations. Wertheimer worked as a mechanical engineer during his auto industry career and, from his retirement home, has waged a campaign to convince government to end a mandate that gasoline include some ethanol. He’s encouraged to see that Duncan’s 2014 energy bill would do just that.
