Oconee County Fire Chief Charlie King says the Keowee Fire Department responded to a residential fire around 7:30 Sunday morning. The Keowee Fire Department, along with units from Keowee Ebeneezer Fire Department, Corinth Shiloh Fire Department, Salem Fire Department, and Station 21 responded to the fire at the residence located at #2 Calm Sea Drive, located inside the North Entrance of Keowee Key. King says units were also assisted by manpower and apparatus  from Seneca Fire Department, Picket Post Fire Department and Six Mile Fire Department.  According to king, due to the structure being three stories, the heavy load of contents, the progression of the fire was heavy at the time of arrival and it took some time to get a head of the fire. King says great team work help stop the fire and will be beneficial for the salvage of the structure and its contents.
