By 5:45 this morning, the number of Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative customers still without service had dropped to below 10,000 in the four-county service area.  Repairs crews continue to face their biggest work in Oconee County, where 6,648 customers await the re-connect.  Overnight crews remained on the job.  At 7 this morning, fresh crews of 375 workers were scheduled to have been added.  Blue Ridge’s Terry Ballenger says better weather is forecast today, and Blue Ridge expects to make steady progress.
