Lawsuit filed on behalf of Bridge program student

A lawsuit has been filed for a student who enrolled in the Bridge program of Tri-County Tech and Clemson University.  The lawsuit, filed last week in the Oconee Common Pleas Court on behalf of Theodore Padussis, alleges negligence over living arrangements at the off-campus High Pointe apartment complex.  Named defendants were realtor/developer Tom Winkopp, Clemson University, and Tri-County Technical College.  A Maryland resident, Padussis enrolled in the Bridge program in 2014.  According to the lawsuit, terms of the Bridge program require students to live in four-bedroom apartments at High Pointe and subject them to discipline by Tech and Clemson.  The lawsuit says students don’t select their roommates.  According to the lawsuit complaint, roommates were allowed to access his bedroom through a defective lock system and that someone stole personal items.  It also alleges that an unknown third party tampered with a ceramic globe that fell from an overhead ceiling fan and injured the plaintiff.  The lawsuit was filed for Padussis by the Anderson law firm of White, Davis and White.
