“Legal Matter – Water Plant”

The agenda for special meeting of Seneca City Council calls for the elected leaders to go behind closed doors for “Legal Matter – Water Plant.”  Greg Dietterick, city administrator, told reporters Thursday he wants to speak to the mayor and council about the complaint he received of a cross embedded into the stonework at the re-built water plant.  The cross is believed to be a tribute to a worker who died after a construction accident there.  But a Wisconsin-group suspects it’s a constitutional violation of the principle of separation of state and church.  Council meets for a 6 o’clock work session Tuesday night at City Hall, to be followed by the special called meeting.
