Let bygones be bygones

During the campaign Wayne McCall, as the maverick member of Oconee County Council, made known his differences with two of his colleagues running for re-election. But now that the results are in, McCall has extended an olive branch to both Joel Thrift and Reg Dexter. He called both Thrift and Dexter this morning to offer his congratulations. McCall has taken the stand he’s willing to support what the people want, and he sees the 56 to 43% favorable sewer vote as an example of that. As an uncontested ballot candidate, McCall yesterday was elected to a second, four-year term, taking 99 percent of the District Two vote.
