Man charged with weapon violation at CU

The state police have announced the arrest of an Anderson man after the discovery of a weapon inside a car on the Clemson campus. According to a “SLED” announcement, 19-year old Anderson resident Brandon Tyler Lowe has been charged with one count of carrying or displaying firearms in public buildings or adjacent areas. The charge is a felony offense that carries penalties on conviction of up to five years in prison, a fine of up to $5 thousand, or both. The offense is alleged to have occurred March 5. At the request of the Clemson city police, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division conducted the investigation.
