Marijuana cases in Seneca

The police in Seneca made drug cases in two separate investigations. One was a weekend traffic stop in which five Georgia residents were issued tickets alleging simple possession of marijuana. The police say they also seized quantities of suspected marijuana from two of the five. The five were in a car shortly before 2 a-m yesterday on the 123 By-Pass. The police say they were alerted by the failure to dim lights and by a strong of odor of what the police believe was marijuana from the vehicle. In the other case, the police say, two residents of a trailer park near the Blue Ridge Elementary School were arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana. The police say they were at the Boggs Drive address to investigate a breaking and entering and arrested two residents there after an officer saw what he believes were five marijuana plants in the early stage of growth inside the home.
