Mayor pro-tem supports Sunday sales

T-J Bagwell, son of a preacher, says he’s a non-drinker. But when it comes to allowing others to imbibe on the Lord’s Day, Walhalla’s mayor pro-tem says that’s OK with him. At last night’s City Hall meeting, Bagwell announced his support of this year’s countywide vote that will allow beer and wine sales in restaurants and convenience stores and said suggested that his city council colleagues may want to discuss their position on the issue. From Bagwell’s standpoint, he sees Sunday sales as a tool for restaurant owners to attract additional business.
