Medicating Oconee’s inmates

The annual bill to dispense medication to Oconee County’s prison population ranges from about $80 thousand to $160 thousand. County staff have settled on $100 thousand as the estimated prescription costs for another year at the county detention center. A recommendation to renew a contract with an Alabama company goes before Oconee County Council next week. Recommended for the contract is L-H-S Pharmacy. The Alabama company was one of 21 companies to submit formal, sealed bids.
