Milas Lavelle Boggs

Seneca, SC — Milas Lavelle Boggs, 82, husband of Wilma Geraldine Ford Boggs, of 120 Clyde Crenshaw Road, Seneca, SC, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

A native of Oconee County, SC, Mr. Boggs was the son of the late Eugene and Marie McClain Boggs. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having retired as an Air Force Master Sargent and Electrician. Mr. Boggs was a member of the Seneca Masonic Lodge #185 and of New Hope Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

 

In addition to his wife, Mr. Boggs is survived by his daughters: Melinda Carol Boggs, of Seneca, Sandra Kaye Robinson (Randall) of Seneca and Teresa Lynn Thompson (Jeff) of Clemson; sister: Betty Jane Baxter of Anderson; six grandchildren: Christopher Larry Robinson (Julie), Heather Kaye Robinson Grant (Chris), Meagan Lindsey Robinson, William Ford Boggs, Jonathan David Thompson and Jeremy Daniel Thompson; and three great-grandchildren: Evan Christopher Robinson, Milas Jase Robinson and Caydance Kaye Robinson.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Boggs is preceded in death by his brothers: John Edward Boggs, James L. Boggs and Willie R. Boggs; and sister: Eugenia Boggs.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 24, 2017, at New Hope Baptist Church with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park with full Military Honors.

 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Sunday, prior to the service, at the church.
