More time to measure the noise!

Oconee County Council may not have all of the exact data they’d like for the county noise law.  The decibel levels, reported last night by Sheriff Mike Crenshaw, aren’t are conclusive as hoped.  Which prompted Crenshaw to say, “I’m curious to know what the readings would be with the leaves off the trees.”  Among the locations where officers measured the sound of noise was the beer tent at last weekend’s Oktoberfest in Walhalla.  The highest was at the Clemson-Notre Dame game October 3—125 decibels 20 minutes after kickoff.  The county has begun to consider a stronger noise law after a Seneca area resident complained about the noise created by a Lake Keowee bar/restaurant.
