Murder defendant in custody

A man wanted on the charge of murder in Anderson is in police custody. A spokesman for the Anderson police, Lt. Tony Tilley, says Curtis Tywan Fowler was placed in custody yesterday by Anderson County deputies near the 28 By-Pass. Fowler is due in court this morning to be arraigned—a procedure in which the defendant is to be advised of the charges against him. He’s accused of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime in the shooting death May 31 of Bryan Howard at 1703 Martin Avenue.
