Need for runoff to be official tomorrow

All signs this afternoon continued to point to the need for a run-off primary election in two weeks to decide the winner of 10th Circuit Solicitor in Oconee and Anderson counties.  Chris Whitmire, spokesman for the state elections office, spoke confidently this afternoon that the run-off in fact will take place, but setting it requires an official action of the state election commissioners.  Those commissioners are meeting at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon to certify the ballots cast in this week’s primary elections.  A June 28 run-off would pit David Wagner against Rame Campbell to decide who succeeds Chrissy Adams.
