New drug sweep across Oconee

A new version of the Oconee Sheriff’s Office “Operation Infinity” drug sweep is underway across Oconee County.  Twenty-five people are being sought on charges of methamphetamine, prescription drugs and marijuana.  Some of the individuals are being sought for charges of unlawful neglect of a child.  By mid afternoon yesterday, eight people had been arrested or had already been in jail where they were served warrants. The Seneca and the Walhalla police departments are partnering with the Sheriff’s Office in what is called the 14th Operation Infinity sweep.
