Nine people displaced by home fire near Seneca

Fire yesterday afternoon damaged a home near Seneca.  According to the Red Cross, nine people—three children and six adults—were displaced by the fire shortly before 1:30 on the Owens Road.  Everyone inside the home is said to have gotten out of the house without being hurt though, according to the Seneca Fire Department, one person received treatment for smoke inhalation. The fire was contained to a closet in home, but smoke spread through the house leaving it uninhabitable yesterday.  The Red Cross is helping the residents by providing services to meet their immediate needs, including comfort kits including personal hygiene items and financial assistance for temporary lodging.
