No mid-June letting for Pioneer Water

A timeline provided the board of directors of Pioneer Rural Water projects the long-awaited date for  contractor’s bids to build the treatment plant to be late next month or July.  In that scenario, it’s likely no construction would start until the late fall.  Pioneer is looking for a go ahead from the Rural Development division of the U-S-D-A—the federal agency providing a $16.5 million dollar construction loan.  Some frustration showed during yesterday’s meeting as the board addressed the issue with design and engineering consultant Donald Phillips of the company Design South.
