No more worn and tattered flags

Torn and tattered American and South Carolina flags flying at one Oconee County public school are no more.  At last month’s meeting of the Westminster City Council, Mayor Rick McCormick presented six new flags to Westminster Principal Chad Lusk and Student Council leaders Abby Williams and Grant Mobley.  The Student Council noticed the old, worn out flags and wrote letters to the community for help.  The students also took the time to learn about the significance of the flags and the proper care of them.
