Normally, the holidays mean….

In the game of attracting economic development, the end of the year holidays ushers in a quiet time for activity. But, in the opinion of Oconee’s top economic recruiter, the county may have one good announcement before 2013 becomes history. Richard Blackwell referred to that project today as Project (code-named) GDA, an existing Oconee County company. And Blackwell hinted today that company’s announcement could come early next month. Meantime, there’s to be a formal announcement of a Long Creek woman’s plans to locate in the incubator of the Tri-County Entrepreneurial Development Corporation in Walhalla. The TCEDC’s Dave Eldridge described the woman and her project as adding up to a small manufacturing operation.
