Oconeeans come up short in finding eclipse glasses

By now, if you haven’t bought the proper eyewear protection for the eclipse, you may have to resort to making one yourself.  Some Oconeeans are telling us that local stores have exhausted their supply.  And places, such as the public libraries, are of no help, also.  Blair Hinson, director of libraries, says, “We had a few for specific library programs, but we don’t have any left for the public.”  If you are weary of all the build-up to the eclipse, perhaps a trip to another planet is the solution.  A retired NASA worker will make a public presentation about human habitation on the planet Mars.  Jim Adams will address the following questions at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning at the World of Energy:  “How will we do it?  How will we power a human community on Mars?  When will it happen?”  Adams’ talk will be followed by a public reception.
