Official: 10th Circuit has a judge “in waiting”

From Columbia, State Sen. Thomas Alexander announced to 96.3/WGOG NEWS this afternoon that the 10th Circuit counties can look forward to a new jurist. He’s Walhalla resident Scott Sprouse who, at the age of 49 years old, will be able to look forward to a new career beginning January 1. By acclamation, the state General Assembly today elected Sprouse as the replacement for Alex Macaulay, who must bow to the mandatory retirement age (72) for judges. Sprouse says he feel relief to have won the seat without opposition in what, in his view, has been a long process. Sprouse was present for the election and, afterward, he and his wife, Mary, and others were enjoying lunch in the capital city.
