OSD administrative moves

Some shuffling within Oconee School District administration could impact next year’s budget. Steve Hanvey has been designated as the next assistant superintendent for instruction. And county trustees were told last night that Hanvey’s old job, as director of federal programs and professional development, is one that must be re-filled, as well as the hiring of someone to instruct staff in technology training. At last night’s meeting, Dr. Mike Lucas, county superintendent, explained the overall budget impact on the positions.  Last night’s was a non-action meeting.  The trustees are to be asked to vote during next week’s regular meeting.
