Parris: possibilities in Moulder request

Walhalla’s Scott Parris, chairman of the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority, can see possibilities in a request from Scott Moulder, the Oconee County administrator. Moulder is pursuing a change in an inter-government agreement, as a way to free up hundreds of thousands of dollars a year which the county could use to pay for sewer projects. “I think it is something that can be made to work, but there is still some work that has to be done to it. There were some questions that came up in the meeting the other day that need to be answered and taken care of….,” he said. Parris said he believes the county seeks the money to help pay costs at its Golden Corner Commerce Park. Apparently another possibility would be a sewer connection to Sanctuary Pointe.
