Per pupil spending in Oconee schools

A report shows the spending per pupil in the Tamassee-Salem Middle and High School exceeded $10 thousand dollars during 2014.  And the projection for spending there this year is projected to surpass $11.5 thousand.  This information will be in front of Oconee school trustees as they sit for their September meeting tonight.  The figure of $10,139 per pupil at Tamassee-Salem was based on 289 students.  No other Oconee school last year exceeded the $10 thousand figure.  The figure of $11,674 projected in 2015-16 at Tamassee-Salem is based on 251 students—the number of students enrolled there on the 10th day of this school year.  Two other Oconee schools are projected to record per pupil spending above $10 thousand this year:  Tamassee-Salem Elementary and Walhalla’s James Brown Elementary.
