Pickens Man Dead, Two Injured

A Pickens county man is dead following a two car accident Saturday morning in Liberty.  The SC Highway Patrol reports 45 year old Preston Calvin Batson, Jr died Saturday morning when his car entered into the oncoming lane on Highway 93 and collided with another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelly.  According to the Highway Patrol, Batson was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
